Bremsstrahlung, or “braking radiation”, is the radiation produced free electrons when they are deflected by electric fields or nuclei of atoms. This is how radiological technologists, or rad techs, create x-rays for diagnostic imaging. The radiographer throws a lot of electrons at a target made of tungsten, and as those electrons interact with the target, we get x-ray radiation and that how we get CT or x-ray imaging.
